It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the World Transplant Games in one of Australia's most beautiful cities.
You, as a competitor, are living proof that it is possible to lead a normal and active life and compete at this level after receiving a transplant. The mere fact that you are competing will act as an inspiration to others and I wish you every success in this XIth staging of the games.
Enjoy the competition, foster the camaraderie and above all celebrate being there.
